Common But Poisonous Mistakes Leaders Make

COMMON BUT POISONOUS MISTAKES

A Texas man was doing routine yard work at his home on Memorial Day weekend when he saw and beheaded a four-foot rattlesnake.  Common as his approach, what happened NEXT was poisonous and nearly cost him his life.  This natural circumstance has a profound SUPERNATURAL lesson that can empower you in your business, home, relationships and life.

C. S. Lewis warned: “When poisons become fashionable, they do not cease to kill.”

Common but poisonous mistakes leaders make can destroy integrity, family and even life itself.  Believing you are bigger than the poisons of this world is a sign of one’s lack of discernment to the power of principalities and deadly powers that are at work.

Snakes, like chickens and other animals have a natural pre-programmed response in their nervous system.  Snakes natural response is to bite.  So given a second shot, they will attack even after what seems to be death.  You’ve heard the proverbial statement “running around like a chicken with its head cut off”….this is the same pre-programmed response process that does not require brain activity to complete it’s work.

In the same way, when we play around with things we shouldn’t, when we allow business relationships to get too close, when we introduce little white lies or even addictive behaviors into our everyday life thinking it has no power to hurt us, we make ourselves vulnerable to deadly attacks.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  (John 10:10)

Use wisdom and discernment today.  They are far worth more than silver or gold. (Proverbs 16:16)
