P.U.S.H. (WEEK 1 “P”)

Olympic Rings
Watching the 2016 Olympics brings out the warrior in me.  It makes me want to work a little harder, push a little stronger and give more to the vision and dreams that echo within my heart.  In August, I started a new form of messaging on Facebook Live.  It’s called Warrior Wake-up and it it intended to speak to my many friends and clients in business about the real “secret sauce” behind living a life of greatness that inspires legacy.  The first four weeks of August are focused on THE P.U.S.H.

As we see the Olympic events take place daily, we see a living example of ordinary individuals with an extraordinary passion to  be their BEST and push for new levels of greatness.  We see these athletes sacrifice time, food, energy, vacations and more of what most “average” people would never even consider giving up. As we look at THE P.U.S.H., we are going to elevate our thinking in an effort to elevate our lives, families, marriages and business efforts.

Many say the P.U.S.H. is to Pray Until Something Happens.  Others say Prayer or faith without works is dead there for we must Practice Until Something Happens.  In sales, many say PROMOTE Until Something Happens.  But for certain, we all have a PUSH in life that requires more of us if we want to reach new heights and achieve greater dreams.

The “P” in P.U.S.H. brings us to 4 words of great impact in our journey to becoming leaders worth following:

Preparation precedes peak performance.
Practice opens the door to your BEST days.
Patience reminds us that we are not “waiting on God”, but God is waiting on us to GET READY, for where He wants to take us requires great preparation.
Promotion comes in “due season” if we faint not.

As you consider your goals this week, ask yourself, “Am I fully prepared for what I hope to accomplish?  Have I continued to practice my skills daily, investing into my own growth and development?  Has patience been fully developed in my life so that I don’t STRIVE for my dreams but I await God’s “due season” with love, patience, kindness and the other fruits of the Spirit?  If you can say yes to the first three questions, number four “PROMOTION” is bound to find you no matter where you might be.

Joseph from the bible (Genesis 39) was in a prison, wrongly accused and seemingly forgotten by man and God.  However, he proved the power of preparation, honed his skills through practice and grew in patience despite the grueling process he endured.  Then, SUDDENLY, he was remembered.  In one moment he went from prisoner to Prime Minister and became a type of savior to his family, his nation of people and his generation.

Do not grow weary in doing good for in due season you WILL reap if you refuse to give up!  Your day is coming,  If you continue to make these things a priority, soon….promotion will come.  For with God is faithful to finish what He started in you.  Just DON’T GIVE UP!
